Overview

The Graduate Development Program is designed to provide you with the practical skills and knowledge needed to be an effective and high performing professional working in the government context.

You will develop core skills in the areas of emotional intelligence, communication, relationship building, developing performance, and working in the government context. You will also develop your technical skills in using Microsoft Excel, writing, financial modelling and presentation skills. Each element of the Program will connect, building your knowledge and skills as you progress through the Program. You will apply your learning to government-specific examples and activities.

To enable participants to relate their learning to the workplace, a number of senior executives from across government will attend the education sessions and provide an overview of how their department fits within government. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend a number of external activities, designed to grow their understanding of the South Australian government and build their network of like-minded professionals.

Commitment

To successfully complete the DTF Graduate Development Program participants are required to attend all education session and complete any associated program work. Participants who successfully complete the program will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion.

Participants should note that if they are unable to attend every session they will receive a Certificate of Attendance only.
